Sales Associate

Who loves fashion? We are a well-established boutique in search of sales associates in the Branson area. We are looking for associates who can work efficiently in a high sales volume atmosphere. Sales Associate duties and responsibilities include working closely with customers to determine their needs, answer their questions about our products, and recommend the right solutions, as well as maintaining our store's visual appearance to high standards. Ultimately, the duties of a sales associate are to achieve excellent customer service while consistently meeting the stores sales goals.

Responsibilities

• Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent customer service
• Welcome customers to the store and answer their questions
• Assess customer needs and provide assistance and information on product features
• Maintain presentable conditions in assigned areas
• Open and close the store independently
• Process POS (point of sale) purchases
• Actively seek out customers in the store
• Remain knowledgeable on products offered and discuss available options
• "Go the extra mile" to drive sales
• Handle returns of merchandise
• Cross sell products
• Team up with co-workers to ensure proper customer service
• Follow and achieve department's sales goals on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis
• Build productive trust relationships with customers
• Comply with inventory control procedures
• Suggest ways to improve sales (e.g. changing the store's design)

Skills

• Proven work experience as a retail sales associate, sales representative, or similar role
• Basic understanding of sales principles and customer service practices
• Proficiency in English
• Basic Math skills
• Solid communication and interpersonal skills
• Friendly and energetic personality with customer service focus
• Working knowledge of customer and market dynamics and requirements
• Hands-on experience with POS transactions
• Familiarity with inventory procedures
• Ability to perform under pressure and address complaints in a timely manner
• Track record of overachieving sales quota
• Availability to work flexible hours

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 6 – 12 per week
