What are the responsibilities and job description for the Plant Engineer position at Job Juncture?
Plant Engineer
Decatur, IL Area
The Plant Engineer will report to the Plant Manager and will provide engineering support including Project implementation, Production and Equipment Initiatives while assuring that safety and quality goals are being met. Key Responsibilities include:
- Project management, purchasing, and supervision of contractors for all projects to assure completion on a timely basis within budget.
- Adhere to and enforce Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and HACCP requirements.
- Lead and assist management with appropriate training to assure regulatory compliance.
- Maintain appropriate communication/relationships with all employees, vendors, and visitors.
- Attend daily production/quality meetings.
- Provide technical support for plant processes and improvements
- Assume Plant superintendent responsibilities in his/her absence.
An Engineering degree is preferred but open to experience
Must Have Previous manufacturing experience (2 years )
Any experience with food manufacturing a plus
