We are seeking an Onsite EHS Engineer to join our manufacturing company. The selected candidate will be responsible for ensuring the company's adherence to safety and environmental regulations while employing their knowledge of Compliance, OSHA, and NFPA standards.
This role requires a minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar position. As an EHS Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in fostering a safety-conscious culture and ensuring a healthy workplace environment.

Responsibilities
1. Develop, implement, and manage safety programs, policies, and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal OSHA rules and regulations.
2. Plan and implement training for personnel in areas of safety, including first aid, CPR, accident prevention, and work site inspections.
3. Conduct safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards.
4. Prepare and present reports on incidents, accidents, and violations, outlining preventative measures to avoid recurrence.
5. Act as a liaison with regulatory bodies, ensuring the company is updated on new or revised regulations and maintaining compliance with these standards.
6. Assist in the implementation and maintenance of the company's EHS Management System.
7. Respond to emergencies and manage clean-up and remediation efforts.
8. Collaborate with internal departments and external partners to create and implement effective strategies to mitigate risks and improve safety performance.
Qualifications
1. Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 3 years of experience as an EHS Engineer or similar role in the Engineering industry.
3. Certified Safety Professional (CSP) is a plus.
4. Thorough knowledge of federal, state, and local health and safety laws and regulations including OSHA and NFPA standards.
5. Proven experience in conducting safety audits and inspections.
6. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex information to a variety of audiences.
7. Strong problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for identifying potential hazards and implementing preventative measures.
8. Ability to respond effectively to emergencies and manage remediation efforts.
9. Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite and EHS management software.
10. Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
