We are seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented individual to join our dynamic finance team as a Permanent Accountant in the Jersey Village, TX (Houston) area. This role will provide you with an exciting opportunity to showcase your skills in a fast-paced, high energy environment where no two days are the same. Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Accountant, your key responsibilities will include:
1. Conducting thorough financial analysis to provide insights and recommendations for financial decision-making.
2. Performing cost accounting tasks to ensure accurate allocation of costs to products and services.
3. Preparing and maintaining financial accounts in compliance with company policies and applicable laws and regulations.
4. Reconciling accounts to ensure all financial data is accurate and up-to-date.
5. Analyzing and interpreting account information to identify trends, discrepancies, and potential areas of improvement.
6. Managing Bills of Material (BOM) and Manufacturing Orders (MO's) to ensure accurate cost allocation and inventory management.
7. Monitoring Work in Progress (WIP) accounts to track costs and revenues associated with ongoing projects.
8. Analyzing Capital Expenditure (CAP EX) Budget to ensure efficient allocation of resources for capital projects.
9. Collaborating with other team members to improve financial processes and procedures.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate must possess the following qualifications:
1. A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 2 years of experience in an accounting or financial analysis role.
3. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
4. Strong knowledge of financial analysis, cost accounting, and financial accounting principles.
5. Proven experience with account reconciliation and account analysis.
6. Familiarity with Bills of Material (BOM), Manufacturing Orders (MO's), and Work in Progress (WIP).
7. Experience in analyzing Capital Expenditure (CAP EX) Budgets.
8. Excellent analytical skills with an attention to detail.
9. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
10. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
11. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions based on data analysis.
