We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to join our dynamic finance team. This is a permanent role that offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a fast-paced, high-performance work environment, while handling the company's financial operations.
Responsibilities
As an Accounting Manager, your core responsibilities will be
- Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes.
- Manage the month-end and year-end close process, ensuring the accuracy and effectiveness of the accounting system.
- Review and analyze financial data and report on financial performance, trends, and budget variances.
- Implement and monitor internal controls over financial transactions and reporting.
- Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with GAAP and other applicable regulatory rules and guidelines.
- Coordinate with external auditors and manage the audit process.
- Provide leadership and support to accounts payable and accounts receivable teams.
- Work closely with the finance team to enhance and streamline financial processes and systems.
To be successful in this role, you will need
- A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of financial accounting/general ledger experience.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in a managerial role.
- Proficient knowledge of accounting software, MS Excel, and other business-related software.
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Proven experience in managing the month-end close process, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
- Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to manage and guide a team.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Superior written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
- CPA certification is preferred but not required.
