Job Details
We are looking for a skilled Accounting Manager to oversee and manage the day-to-day accounting functions of our organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial management, excellent leadership skills, and a proven track record of success in a similar role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead an accounting team with an emphasis in the Accounts Receivable and Customer Deductions
- Manage the monthly financial close process including inventory analysis, journal entries, account reconciliations and assisting with financial statement analysis and reporting to management, stakeholders and external parties
- Review and approval of customer deductions
- Work cross-functionally on potential cost improvements and identify and implement process improvements
- Monthly accrual preparation and review of commissions, royalties and markdowns
- Quarterly royalty reporting management
- Establish and enforce GAAP compliant accounting policies and procedures
- Reporting to the Controller
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance (or a related field)
- CPA designation is required
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in accounting and 3 years in a supervisory role
- Experience in Microsoft Office suite, and intermediate proficiency in Excel is required
- Experience with Microsoft Business Central preferred
- Ability to prioritize work to meet deadlines
- Consumer Packaged Goods industry experience preferred
- Strong understanding of GAAP
- Strong leadership, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong time management, critical thinking, problem solving, analytical and decision-making skills with a numerical aptitude
- High integrity team player with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn and grow
