We are currently seeking an experienced and dynamic Architectural Drafter to join our Engineering team. This full-time, permanent position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to our innovative and forward-thinking projects. The successful candidate will have a strong background in architectural drafting, with a focus on various materials including wood, metal, stone, and millwork. Proficiency in AutoCAD and experience in architectural manufacturing is essential.
Responsibilities:
1. Prepare detailed architectural drawings using AutoCAD and other drafting software, ensuring all drawings adhere to established specifications and standards.
2. Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers to gather product and structural requirements and designs.
3. Convert architects’ sketches and specifications into detailed drawings and plans, making necessary changes as required.
4. Develop millwork and architectural details based on project requirements.
5. Ensure all work is completed to the highest standard, within project timelines.
6. Participate in project meetings, providing technical input as required.
7. Utilize knowledge of various materials, engineering practices, mathematics, building materials, and other physical sciences to complete drawings.
8. Create and alter CAD drawings for architectural projects, including construction and as-built drawings.
9. Evaluate and implement design changes, specifications, and drawing releases.
Qualifications:
1. A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role within the Engineering industry.
2. Proven experience as an Architectural Drafter, with a strong focus on millwork, wood, metal, and stone.
3. Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential, with experience in other CAD Drafting software considered a plus.
4. Familiarity with Architectural Woodwork Institute (AWI) standards.
5. Knowledge of architectural manufacturing processes and techniques.
6. Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in work.
7. Strong communication and team collaboration skills.
8. Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and meet tight deadlines.
9. A degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
