Job Details

We are seeking a dynamic and talented Associate Attorney to join our legal team. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with a strong background in Medical Malpractice and Professional Liability to make a significant impact in a fast-paced, growing law firm. The successful candidate will be a proactive self-starter with a driven, competitive nature, who can work independently but also collaboratively with our team.

Responsibilities:

• Represent clients in all aspects of Medical Malpractice and Professional Liability cases.
• Handle cases from inception through resolution, including drafting pleadings, discovery, motions, and trial preparation.
• Conduct legal research and draft comprehensive legal memoranda.
• Analyze complex legal and factual issues, conduct extensive, well-reasoned legal research, independently develop and present legal strategies on complicated legal matters.
• Provide legal counsel and guidance to clients, including interpreting and applying laws, statutes, and regulations, and advising on legal rights, obligations, and privileges.
• Participate in depositions, mediations, and court appearances as necessary.
• Maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
• Develop relationships with clients as legal needs are established, provide counsel, help clients understand their legal options, and provide the best possible solutions to their legal problems.

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
• Must be a member in good standing with the Florida State Bar.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Medical Malpractice and Professional Liability.
• Proven experience in Civil Litigation.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
• Proficiency in legal research software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• High attention to detail and proven ability to handle high-pressure situations.
• Strong commitment to client service and demonstrated ability to maintain a high level of professionalism in a fast-paced environment.
