Our organization is seeking an experienced AutoCAD Designer to join our dynamic Engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity for a talented professional to contribute their unique skills and perspectives to innovative, high-profile projects. The successful candidate will be instrumental in driving our design and drafting efforts, using their expertise in AutoCAD, 3D CAD, and other design tools to create detailed technical drawings and plans. This role is contract-based, offering the flexibility and autonomy to make a significant impact on our operations.

Responsibilities:

• Use AutoCAD software to create and modify 2D and 3D technical drawings and plans, following established standards and procedures.
• Collaborate with engineers and other project team members to understand design requirements and translate them into accurate and functional CAD designs.
• Review and revise designs to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with quality standards and design specifications.
• Assist in the preparation of design presentations and reports, using 3D CAD and other visualization tools.
• Participate in project meetings and design reviews, providing technical input and recommendations as needed.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of AutoCAD and other design software, staying abreast of new features and capabilities.
• Manage and organize CAD files and documentation, ensuring that all work is properly archived and retrievable for future use.

Qualifications:

• Associate or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Drafting, Design, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in an AutoCAD Designer role or similar, preferably within the Engineering industry.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and 3D CAD software, with a strong understanding of drafting principles and techniques.
• Ability to create complex 2D and 3D designs, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
• Strong understanding of engineering principles and design standards.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey design concepts and ideas.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving design issues.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite and other relevant software tools.
• Familiarity with BIM (Building Information Modeling) is a plus.
