The ideal candidate will have a strong background in bridge inspection, team leadership, civil engineering, and possess knowledge of NHI 130055, NHI 130053, load rating, NJDOT, NJTA, and NYSDOT. As the Permanent Bridge Inspection Team Lead, you will be responsible for leading a team of inspectors and ensuring that all inspections are completed in a timely and efficient manner. You will also be responsible for overseeing the load rating process and ensuring that all bridges are safe for use.

We are seeking a highly experienced Permanent Bridge Inspection Team Lead to join our growing Construction industry team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in bridge inspection, team leadership, civil engineering, and possess knowledge of NHI 130055, NHI 130053, load rating, NJDOT, NJTA, and NYSDOT. As the Permanent Bridge Inspection Team Lead, you will be responsible for leading a team of inspectors and ensuring that all inspections are completed in a timely and efficient manner. You will also be responsible for overseeing the load rating process and ensuring that all bridges are safe for use.
Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of bridge inspectors and ensure that all inspections are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
- Oversee the load rating process and ensure that all bridges are safe for use.
- Develop inspection plans and schedules for all bridges in the region.
- Conduct field inspections and provide guidance to team members on inspection techniques and procedures.
- Prepare detailed inspection reports and make recommendations for repairs or maintenance as needed.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure that all inspections are completed in accordance with state and federal regulations.
- Provide technical support to other team members and assist with training as needed.
- Attend meetings with clients and stakeholders to discuss inspection findings and recommendations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- 3 years of experience in bridge inspection and team leadership.
- Knowledge of NHI 130055, NHI 130053, load rating, NJDOT, NJTA, and NYSDOT.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with team members and clients.
- Ability to lead a team of inspectors and provide guidance on inspection techniques and procedures.
- Experience preparing detailed inspection reports and making recommendations for repairs or maintenance.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to work independently and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
