Job Details
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Civil Engineer to join our team in the construction industry. The ideal candidate will have a BS in Civil Engineering and a minimum of three years of experience in utility design, transportation design, water and wastewater, and stormwater. As a permanent Civil Engineer, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing construction projects from conception to completion. You will work closely with architects, contractors, and other professionals to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee construction projects, including site preparation, grading, paving, and drainage
- Develop and implement project plans, timelines, and budgets
- Review and approve designs, plans, and specifications for compliance with building codes and industry standards
- Conduct site inspections to ensure that work is being done according to plans and specifications
- Coordinate with contractors, architects, and other professionals to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget
- Prepare project reports and documentation, including progress reports, change orders, and project close-out reports
- Ensure that all work is done in compliance with safety regulations and industry standards
- Provide technical support and guidance to other members of the project team
Qualifications:
- BS in Civil Engineering or equivalent
- Minimum of three years of experience in utility design, transportation design, water and wastewater, and stormwater
- Strong knowledge of building codes and industry standards
- Experience managing construction projects from conception to completion
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and other software tools used in the construction industry
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Willingness to travel to project sites as needed
