Job Details
We are seeking a highly skilled and dynamic Civil Engineer to join our innovative and forward-thinking engineering team. As a Permanent Civil Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, planning, and overseeing the construction of various infrastructure projects. This is an exciting opportunity to utilize your expertise in AutoCAD, bid documents, storm water management, sewer systems, and road construction to make a significant impact on our community.
Responsibilities:
1. Design and develop comprehensive engineering plans and blueprints for infrastructure projects, including roads, sewers, and storm water management systems.
2. Collaborate with architects, construction teams, and other professionals to ensure the successful implementation of engineering designs.
3. Prepare and review bid documents, specifications, and cost estimates for construction projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
4. Conduct site investigations and surveys to assess project feasibility and identify potential challenges or risks.
5. Analyze and evaluate engineering data, such as soil reports and environmental impact studies, to make informed decisions during the design and construction phases.
6. Oversee construction activities, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budget constraints, and quality standards.
7. Conduct regular inspections and assessments of ongoing projects to identify any deviations from plans and recommend corrective actions.
8. Collaborate with government agencies and regulatory bodies to obtain necessary permits and approvals for construction projects.
9. Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices in civil engineering to continually enhance your knowledge and skills.
10. Mentor and provide guidance to junior engineers and technicians, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
2. Minimum of 3 years of experience in civil engineering, with a focus on infrastructure and road construction projects.
3. Proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant software applications for designing and drafting engineering plans.
4. Strong knowledge of storm water management systems, sewer systems, and related regulations.
5. Familiarity with bid document preparation, cost estimation, and construction project management.
6. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make informed decisions.
7. Strong attention to detail and accuracy, ensuring all engineering plans and designs comply with industry standards and regulations.
8. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
9. Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively to meet deadlines.
10. Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred but not required.
