Job Details
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced General Accountant to join our dynamic team in the construction industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for financial operations, including general ledger analysis, GAAP, construction accounting, accounts payable, etc.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and construction accounting principles.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all financial transactions.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
- Conduct general ledger analysis and reconciliation.
- Oversee Fixed Asset Accounting and depreciation schedules.
- Monitor and analyze project costs and profitability.
- Prepare and file tax returns and other financial reports.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Provide financial analysis and support to senior management as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
- 2 years of experience in general accounting, preferably in the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and construction accounting principles.
- Experience with Viewpoint software preferred.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- CPA certification preferred.
