We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Construction Project Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing construction projects within the decided-upon budget, timeline, and scope. They will also effectively monitor and present project updates to relevant stakeholders, clients, or project team members. This is a permanent position offering the opportunity to work on a wide array of construction projects, ranging from commercial to residential builds.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the planning and implementation of construction projects.
- Work closely with project managers and other team members to ensure projects are on schedule and within budget.
- Prepare and maintain all necessary project documentation, including contracts, permits, and specifications.
- Monitor project progress, including tracking deliverables and making necessary adjustments.
- Coordinate and manage project tasks and deliverables and track progress.
- Conduct regular meetings with project team members and stakeholders to provide updates and address any issues or concerns.
- Liaise with contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure clear communication.
- Ensure all safety guidelines and regulations are strictly followed on the construction site.
- Assist in the resolution of any potential issues or risks, ensuring minimal impact on project deliverables.
- Prepare and present progress reports to stakeholders and senior management.
- Proven experience as a Project Coordinator in the Construction industry, with a minimum of 2 years' experience.
- A bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, means and methods, and legal requirements.
- Excellent ability to coordinate multiple tasks, organize, prioritize, and perform under pressure.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong familiarity with construction management software.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively with diverse groups of people, including architects, contractors, and engineers.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics, and construction documents.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software.
- Certification in project management, such as PMP or CAPM, is an advantage.
