Job Details

We are looking for a Permanent Controller to join our dynamic team in the Construction industry. As a Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of our company, ensuring that all financial transactions are accurate, timely, and compliant with regulatory requirements. You will be responsible for managing a team of accounting professionals and will report directly to the CEO.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the day-to-day financial operations of the company, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger accounting
• Oversee the preparation of financial statements and reports, ensuring their accuracy and completeness
• Manage the company's cash flow, including forecasting and budgeting
• Monitor and analyze financial data, providing insights and recommendations to the CEO and other senior leaders
• Manage the company's contract management process, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and minimizing risk
• Oversee the preparation of AIA billings and job cost reports
• Manage the company's human resources function, including payroll and benefits administration
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including tax laws and financial reporting standards
• Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness
• Provide leadership and direction to the accounting team, including training, coaching, and mentoring

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 2 years of experience in a Controller role or equivalent
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
• Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger accounting
• Experience with contract management and AIA billings
• Experience with job cost accounting and financial reporting
• Experience managing a team of accounting professionals
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word
