Job Details
We are seeking an experienced Controller to oversee our financial operations and contribute to our strategic financial planning. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic and detail-oriented individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment. Your role will involve managing financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations and standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all accounting operations including billing, A/R, A/P, GL, cost accounting, inventory accounting, and revenue recognition.
- Implement and maintain robust financial systems and processes to support the company's growth.
- Ensure compliance with ASC 606 for revenue recognition and other relevant accounting standards.
- Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements and provide variance analysis.
- Coordinate and lead the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts, and report variances.
- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
- Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
- Work closely with external auditors to ensure a clean and timely year-end audit.
- Provide leadership and support to the accounting team.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- CPA or CMA preferred.
- Proven experience as a Controller or similar role.
- Extensive knowledge of accounting principles and procedures, including a strong understanding of ASC 606 and revenue recognition.
- Experience with creating financial statements and general ledger functions.
- Excellent accounting software user and administration skills.
- Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, startup environment.
