Key Responsibilities
Establish, and maintain manufacturing cost standards, and cost allocation systems
Advise management on appropriate costing based on financial data
Ensure sufficient controls are in place to maintain a high level of accuracy of cost data, accumulations, and allocations
Perform detailed reviews, using both trend and margin analysis, to validate cost of goods sold
Perform and report on cost to complete estimates for work in process
Maintaining data collection systems to produce accumulation and reporting of cost information
Oversee physical inventory counts and cycle counts
Perform inventory analysis to ensure errors are identified, resolved, and design of controls to prevent future errors
Conduct periodic review of inventory with a cross-functional team to determine inventory obsolescence, and provide recommendation for valuation adjustments
Conduct reviews of product margins to detect changes in profitability and identify for management action
Other duties as assigned to support the finance and accounting team
Qualification requirements
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
3 years of technical manufacturing accounting experience
Strong financial analysis skills including attention to detail
Demonstrated ability in problem solving
In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint.
Possess the ability to be resourceful, to act independently, where appropriate, and to recognize when higher intervention may be necessary.
