Job Details
We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Cost Accountant to join our finance team in the industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing and controlling the cost of goods sold by reviewing and verifying inventory cycle counts, cost variances, raw materials, and other cost elements. The candidate must have experience in Cost Accounting within the manufacturing industry.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze and report on cost variances and provide recommendations for cost improvements.
- Identify and calculate cost elements and maintain cost models.
- Conduct inventory cycle counts and reconcile inventory discrepancies.
- Analyze raw material usage and identify opportunities for cost savings.
- Participate in the budget cycle and provide input on cost projections.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Maintain and update cost accounting policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 3 years of experience in cost accounting, preferably in the finance industry.
- Strong understanding of cost accounting principles, practices, and procedures.
- Experience with ERP systems and ERP financials.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other financial software.
