We are searching for a dedicated and skilled Permanent CT Tech. This position is an integral part of our healthcare team, providing critical diagnostic imaging services for our patients during the night shift. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating computerized tomography (CT) equipment to produce images of the patient's body for diagnostic purposes. This is a full-time, permanent position, offering a competitive salary and benefits package.
Responsibilities
- Operate computerized tomography (CT) equipment to create detailed images of the patient's body for diagnostic purposes.
- Collaborate with radiologists to determine appropriate scanning techniques and protocols.
- Ensure the patient's comfort and safety during procedures, providing clear instructions and answering any questions.
- Prepare and administer contrast media as needed, following all safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate patient records, including details of procedures, outcomes, and any unusual occurrences.
- Perform routine maintenance and quality checks on CT equipment, reporting any issues or malfunctions promptly.
- Comply with all safety and health regulations, including radiation safety measures.
- Participate in continuing education and professional development activities to stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in CT technology.
- ARRT Certification in CT is required.
- Minimum of 6 months of experience as a CT Tech.
- Excellent technical skills, including familiarity with various types of CT equipment and protocols.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to put patients at ease and explain complex procedures in understandable terms.
- Detail-oriented, with strong record-keeping skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical stamina, as the role involves standing for long periods and occasionally lifting or moving patients.
- Flexibility to work night shifts and adapt to changing schedules.
- Commitment to maintaining the highest standards of patient care and safety.
