We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Permanent CT Technician to join our dynamic medical team. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a fast-paced, challenging environment where you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care. As a Permanent CT Technician, you will be responsible for operating computerized tomography (CT) equipment to capture diagnostic images of patients’ internal organs and tissues. You will be working closely with radiologists, physicians, and other medical professionals to diagnose and treat a wide range of medical conditions. This is a full-time, permanent position requiring a minimum of 3 years of experience in the field.
Job Details
Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain CT equipment in accordance with safety standards and protocols.
- Prepare patients for CT scans, explaining the procedure and ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Position patients and adjust equipment to capture the appropriate area and depth.
- Follow physicians' orders precisely and conform to regulations to ensure patient safety and obtain the best diagnostic images.
- Review and evaluate developed x-rays, video tapes, or computer-generated information to determine if images are satisfactory for diagnostic purposes.
- Collaborate with radiologists to evaluate image quality and determine if additional images are needed.
- Maintain accurate patient records, documenting all procedures and findings.
- Assist in the management of the CT department, ensuring cleanliness, and readiness of the room for the next patient.
- Participate in continuing education activities to stay abreast of the latest trends and advancements in the field.
Qualifications:
- Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience as a CT Technician or Technologist.
- Valid and current registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- Proficiency in the operation of CT equipment and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
- Excellent patient care skills, with the ability to reassure and calm patients who may be anxious or uncomfortable.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills to interpret and analyze CT images.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and the ability to lift and move patients when necessary.
- A commitment to ongoing professional development and maintaining current knowledge of advancements in the field.
