Job Details
Skilled design engineer will perform engineering analysis and design of new and modified components in accordance with engineering standards and project scope. Design engineer will:
- Research, study and propose use of new technologies to be used in the development of new and improved products.
- Performs engineering analysis to support the selection of parts, components and materials that meet requirements.
- Evaluate designs for performance, safety, reliability, and cost.
- Analyze and resolve issues reported to Engineering via verbal or written communication.
- Maintain effective communication with suppliers, internal and external customers, and outside resources concerning technical issues.
- Assist manufacturing with process improvements and implement necessary product design modifications.
- Maintain engineering documentation within EPDM
- Provide direction to designers and drafters
- Use CAD to design and develop components and product while abiding by lean manufacturing, safety, engineering and drawing standards.
Qualifications
- Experience working with SolidWorks or equivalent 3D modeling package
- 5 years of experience
- Familiarity with Epicor ERP System
- Possess a strong mechanical knowledge of agriculture equipment or related systems
