Job Details
We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Director of Analytics to join our dynamic analytics and strategy team. As the Director of Analytics, you will play a crucial role in driving data-driven decision making and optimizing our marketing strategies. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented individual with a strong background in the marketing industry and a deep understanding of analytics.
Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement analytics strategies: Lead the development and execution of analytics strategies to enhance our marketing efforts. Utilize your expertise in Google Analytics 4, database marketing, statistical modeling, and other relevant tools to provide actionable insights and recommendations.
2. Drive data-driven decision making: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify key performance indicators (KPIs) and establish benchmarks. Analyze marketing data to measure campaign effectiveness, customer behavior, and overall business performance. Use this information to optimize marketing strategies and drive growth.
3. Dashboarding and data visualization: Design and create visually appealing and user-friendly dashboards using tools such as Tableau. Present complex data in a clear and concise manner to stakeholders, enabling them to make informed decisions.
4. Data management and analysis: Utilize your expertise in Python, SQL, and other relevant programming languages to manipulate and analyze large datasets. Develop statistical models to gain insights into customer behavior, segmentations, and trends. Identify patterns and opportunities to improve marketing campaigns and customer experiences.
5. Implement and maintain tracking systems: Utilize Google Tag Manager to implement and manage tracking codes, ensuring accurate and reliable data collection. Collaborate with IT and development teams to troubleshoot and resolve any tracking issues.
6. Lead a team of analysts: Provide guidance and mentorship to a team of analysts, fostering their professional growth and development. Collaborate with other departments to ensure alignment and collaboration on analytics projects.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in a similar role within the digital media / marketing industry.
- Strong proficiency in Google Analytics 4, database marketing, statistical modeling, and other relevant analytics tools and techniques.
- Expertise in dashboarding and data visualization using tools such as Tableau and Alteryx.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and SQL, with experience in manipulating and analyzing large datasets.
- Extensive experience with Google Tag Manager for data collection and management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex ideas to stakeholders.
- Proven leadership skills, with the ability to lead and mentor a team of analysts.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as marketing, statistics, or data science. Advanced degree preferred.
