Responsibilities
As a Permanent Director of Assets, you will be responsible for the following
- Overseeing the strategic management of our portfolio of assets, including affordable housing and construction projects.
- Developing and implementing asset management strategies to ensure the long-term viability and profitability of our assets.
- Collaborating with other departments to ensure the successful completion of construction projects, from planning to execution.
- Conducting regular asset evaluations to assess their condition and performance, and making recommendations for improvements or repairs as necessary.
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards related to affordable housing and construction.
- Leading and mentoring a team of asset management professionals, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Keeping abreast of industry trends and developments, and leveraging this knowledge to inform our asset management strategies.
To be considered for the Permanent Director of Assets position, you should have the following
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in asset management, with a focus on affordable housing and construction.
- A Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
- Proven experience managing large-scale construction projects, from planning to execution.
- Strong knowledge of affordable housing regulations and standards.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a proven ability to mentor and motivate a team.
- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound decisions based on data and analysis.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- Proficiency in relevant software, including asset management and project management tools.
- A professional certification in asset management or a related field is a plus.
