The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with excellent teamwork skills, capable of navigating the fast-paced and ever-changing landscape of the Manufacturing industry. Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate the scheduling and movement of our fleet to ensure timely delivery and optimal use of resources.
- Handle on-call rotations, ensuring 24/7 coverage and rapid response to any issues or emergencies.
- Field inbound and outbound phone calls, acting as the primary point of contact for drivers, customers, and other stakeholders.
- Work collaboratively with other departments to streamline operations and improve overall efficiency.
- Utilize fleet management software to track vehicle locations, monitor maintenance needs, and analyze performance data.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve dispatch procedures and reduce downtime.
- Respond to emergency situations or equipment breakdowns, coordinating rapid and effective solutions.
- Ensure all operations comply with company policies and relevant regulations, maintaining detailed records as necessary.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a dispatch role, preferably within the Manufacturing industry.
- Proven experience in managing on-call rotations and fielding phone calls.
- Proficiency in fleet management software and other relevant technology.
- Exceptional communication and teamwork skills, with a customer-focused attitude.
- Ability to work under pressure and make quick decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think on your feet.
- Self-starter with a proactive approach and a strong sense of responsibility.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; further education or certifications in logistics or a related field will be considered an asset.
