The Senior Electrical Engineer is responsible for developing the electrical architecture for our mobile pyrolysis systems. They will work closely with other engineering disciplines to create a robust mechatronic system that can operate in harsh environments. They will also be responsible for selecting and installing electrical hardware for our farm operations.
Job Details
Responsibilities include
• Start to finish ownership of the electronic design - from requirements through design, validation and production. This may include analog and digital circuitry, power transmission and distribution, signal, and communications systems
• Integrate electrical system with hydraulic system. Perform electrical design for various types of hydraulic power and control units including conceptualization, material/component selection, assembly, testing, and validation.
• Create electrical schematics and wire harness design
• Create and maintain product documentation (requirements, specification, design, development, integration
• Work with electrical and mechanical technicians to build and test designed systems
• Mentor junior engineers and technicians
• Perform electrical evaluation/selection of instrumentation and hardware appropriate for harsh environments
• Troubleshoot and repair existing systems
• Make recommendations to continually improve our design, development and testing processes
• Collaborate with other engineering specializations to ensure safe and optimized system design and functionality. Negotiate competing requirements to give the best system-level outcome.
• Communicate effectively and professionally with all stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in automation and control systems
• Experience working with embedded systems
• Knowledge of C languages, Python, MATLAB, LabVIEW
• Strong knowledge of PCB design
• Proficient with SolidWorks
• Experience with multiple PLC systems
Minimum Requirements
• Bachelor's in electrical engineering or equivalent, with 5 years of practical experience
• Master's in electrical engineering or equivalent with 3 year of practical experience
• Experience with high voltage and hydraulic systems
• Experience with sensor and control systems using PWM, 4-20 mA, and 0-5 V
• Authorized to work in the USA for any employer
