Job Details
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Dentist to join our dynamic team. This is a full-time, permanent position that provides a unique opportunity to work in a challenging and rewarding healthcare setting. The ideal candidate will have a passion for community health and a commitment to providing high-quality dental care to patients of all ages. As a Dentist, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse patient population and make a significant impact on their oral health. This role requires a minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive patient care including prevention, health maintenance, early diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up services.
- Conduct oral examinations to identify diseases and develop effective treatment plans.
- Perform dental procedures such as fillings, extractions, root canals (very limited), crowns, and preventive measures like sealants and fluoride.
- Educate patients and their families on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental check-ups.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop integrated patient care plans.
- Maintain patient dental records and document all services rendered.
- Stay updated on the latest research, innovations, and techniques in dentistry to provide the highest standard of care.
- Participate in community health programs to promote oral health awareness and improve access to dental care.
Qualifications
- Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) from an accredited institution.
- A current, valid license to practice dentistry in the state.
- A minimum of 3 years of professional experience as a General Dentist or a similar role.
- Specialization in Pediatric Dentistry would be highly advantageous.
- Exceptional clinical skills and a thorough understanding of various dental procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients, staff, and other healthcare professionals.
- Strong commitment to community health and a passion for providing high-quality dental care to underserved populations.
- Proficiency in using dental software and technology.
- Ability to maintain a calm, professional demeanor during stressful situations.
- Up-to-date on the latest advancements in dentistry and committed to ongoing professional development.
- DEA, DPA & BLS are required
