Job Details
This HR Director will provide support and direction for all matters related to the employee life cycle - including recruiting, hiring, onboarding, training, performance management, payroll, employee relations, and termination. The HR Director will also be active on park teams, including manager-on-duty programs and will manage employee engagement initiatives.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage the employee life-cycle with an emphasis on seasonal staffing and training.
- Direct the day-to-day operations of the HR department and team.
- Develop, communicate, and execute HR initiatives focused on engagement, training, and retention.
- Develop efficient and effective methods of communication to the employee population, leveraging marketing resources to assist with methodology and delivery.
- Investigate and resolve employee concerns, keeping senior leaders informed throughout the process.
- Coach and counsel leadership to effectively address employee performance and provide guidance for resolutions.
- Leverage metrics and analytics to measure progress against organizational goals.
- Evaluate current processes & procedures and implement changes to enhance the employee experience and support employee retention.
- Provide guidance and leadership to park teams regarding federal, state, and local employment law, ensuring compliance.
- Manage uniform inventory, distribution, and collection for all employees.
- With assistance from the park support team, ensure processes and procedures are implemented to effectively deliver employee payroll.
QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS:
- 5 years progressive experience in an HR Generalist role, with at least 3 years managing one or more persons/team required
- Theme park or water park experience preferred
- Experience in hospitality, tourism, or entertainment highly desired
