Job Details

We are seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented, and highly organized finance professional who can build strong organizational relationships through effective leadership and communication. This position is responsible for performing day-to-day accounting activities and timely preparation of financial statements following GAAP. This position is also responsible for all HR functions including payroll, compensation, and benefit administration. Standard hours are 6a-3p, with some flexibility.

Accounting Job Functions:

• Prepare timely and accurate monthly financial statements.
• Perform all balance sheet reconciliations.
• Maintain effective internal controls and quality for financial transactions and financial reporting.
• Maintain and reconcile fixed asset and depreciation schedules.
• Prepare and file timely and accurate city and state tax returns, including form 1099.
• Perform and manage A/R functions including collections, account reconciliations, customer credit approval, and payment application.
• Perform and manage A/P functions to include vendor account maintenance, vouchering, and vendor payments.
• Respond to audit inquiries and submit supporting documents.

Human Resources Functions:

• Administer compensation, benefits, and performance management.
• Respond to employee inquiries regarding benefits and compensation and company policy questions.
• Resolve employee relations issues following company policies and procedures.
• Conduct new employee onboarding and orientation and employee terminations.
• Maintain and update personnel files for completeness and accuracy.
• Process bi-weekly payroll in the external payroll company’s client portal.
• Maintain and calculate PTO accrual and PTO balances.
• Work with insurance brokers during open enrollment for health insurance and renewal for corporate insurance.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in accounting with a working knowledge of GAAP.
• Proven problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Positive/optimistic attitude.
• Impeccable integrity; able to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment or a product-based company a plus.
• Self-starter and self-motivated professional.
• Flexible and ability to multi-task and work effectively and quickly.
• Ability to work independently and with other team members.
• Working knowledge of any of the major ERP/MRP systems is a plus.
• Intermediate Excel skills at a minimum.
• Willingness to put other employees needs ahead of your own.
