A bit about us :
We are a manufacturer of high quality biodiesel in New Haven, Connecticut. Our New Haven plant was built in 2012, became operational in 2013, and presently employs a staff of 50 people directly and an additional 200 people indirectly within Connecticut.
Currently, we have the capacity to produce approximately 40 million gallons of biodiesel annually.
$20 - $35 / hr (depending on experience)
Monday-Friday (7am-3 : 30pm) with additional on-call

Job Details
We are seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic team in the manufacturing industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our production equipment by performing corrective and preventative maintenance tasks.
This is a full-time position that offers competitive compensation and benefits packages.
Responsibilities :
- Conducting routine inspections of production equipment to identify potential issues and prevent breakdowns
- Performing corrective maintenance tasks, such as repairing or replacing faulty components, to minimize downtime and ensure optimal equipment performance
- Conducting preventative maintenance tasks, such as lubrication and cleaning, to extend the lifespan of production equipment
- Troubleshooting and diagnosing equipment malfunctions to identify the root cause of the problem and implement effective solutions
- Collaborating with other maintenance technicians and production staff to ensure that all equipment is operating efficiently and effectively
- Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment logs, and inventory levels
Qualifications :
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a maintenance technician role in a manufacturing environment is preferred
- Strong knowledge of corrective and preventative maintenance techniques, as well as hydraulics and pneumatics
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot equipment malfunctions
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification preferred
