Job Details
The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of interior design principles and have a strong background in creating functional and aesthetically pleasing kitchen and bath spaces.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their design preferences, functional requirements, and budget constraints for kitchen and bath spaces
- Conceptualize and develop design proposals, mood boards, and presentations that effectively communicate design concepts and ideas to clients
- Create detailed design plans, including layout drawings, material selections, color palettes, and lighting specifications, ensuring alignment with the client's vision and project goals
- Utilize advanced software tools and technologies to create 2D and 3D renderings of design concepts, allowing clients to visualize the final outcomes
- Provide expert advice on space utilization, storage solutions, and ergonomic considerations to optimize the functionality of kitchen and bath spaces
- Stay current with industry trends, emerging materials, and innovative technologies related to kitchen and bath design and incorporate them into design proposals
- Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and manufacturers to source materials, fixtures, furnishings, and equipment that align with design concepts and meet quality standards
- Oversee the project's execution, including managing project timelines, budgets, and client communications to ensure successful project completion
- Collaborate with contractors and construction teams during the installation phase to ensure accurate implementation of design plans and timely issue resolution
- Conduct site visits to assess project progress, address any design-related issues, and ensure that the final result meets the highest standards of design quality
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's or Associate's Degree in Interior Design or a related field
- 3 years of professional experience in kitchen and bath interior design
- Proficiency in industry-standard design software, including CAD, 3D modeling, and rendering tools
- Strong portfolio showcasing previous kitchen and bath design projects that highlight creativity, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills
- In-depth knowledge of interior design principles, color theory, spatial relationships, and materials
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively present and explain design concepts to clients and team members
- Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
- Understanding of local building codes, regulations, and industry standards related to kitchen and bath design
- A passion for staying up-to-date with design trends and a willingness to continuously learn and improve design skills
