Job Details

Responsibilities:

• Represent clients in complex litigation matters related to life sciences, including patent infringement, validity, and enforceability.
• Draft, review, and revise legal documents, pleadings, motions, and briefs.
• Conduct comprehensive patent infringement analyses.
• Provide expert counsel on Hatch-Waxman and BPCIA cases.
• Make court appearances and argue cases effectively.
• Collaborate with a team of attorneys and support staff to develop legal strategies.
• Stay updated on current laws, regulations, and industry trends in life sciences and intellectual property.
• Participate in business development activities, including client presentations and seminars.

Qualifications:

• JD from an accredited law school with excellent academic credentials.
• Admitted to practice in Illinois.
• 2 years of experience in life sciences litigation, specifically intellectual property and patent litigation.
• Proven experience in drafting legal documents, pleadings, motions, and briefs.
• Demonstrated ability to conduct patent infringement analyses (infringement, validity, enforceability).
• Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex legal concepts clearly and effectively.
• Excellent analytical, research, and organizational skills.
• Proven ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong client service orientation and ability to develop and maintain client relationships.
• Experience in court appearances and effective case argumentation.
• Demonstrated commitment to ethical standards and high level of integrity.
