Our organization is seeking a dynamic, highly-skilled, and passionate Lead Electrical Engineer to join our team. This position plays a crucial role in the manufacturing industry, where you will be tasked with developing and maintaining our electrical systems. You will be in charge of leading a team of engineers, and you will work closely with other departments to ensure that our manufacturing processes are efficient, safe, and innovative. This is a permanent position which requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in the field.
Responsibilities:
1. Leading and managing a team of electrical engineers to ensure the highest level of performance and productivity.
2. Designing, maintaining, implementing, or improving electrical instruments, facilities, components, equipment products, or systems for industrial, commercial, or domestic purposes.
3. Performing a wide range of engineering tasks by operating computer-assisted design or engineering software and equipment.
4. Ensuring that installation and operations conform to standards and customer requirements by preparing electrical systems specifications, technical drawings, or topographical maps.
5. Establishing construction, manufacturing, or installation standards or specifications by performing a wide range of detailed calculations.
6. Writing reports and compiling data regarding existing and potential electrical engineering projects and studies.
7. Preparing specifications for purchases of electrical equipment and materials.
8. Supervising or training project team members as necessary.
9. Estimating material, labor, or construction costs for budget preparation.
10. Maintaining electrical equipment.
11. Working with a variety of technicians.
Qualifications:
1. A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in the field of electrical engineering, with a focus on the manufacturing industry.
3. Proficient in the use of electrical engineering software.
4. Extensive knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and electrical distribution systems.
5. A high level of proficiency in the creation and interpretation of wire diagrams and schematics.
6. The ability to lead and manage a team of engineers effectively.
7. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
8. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
9. The ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
10. A keen eye for detail and a high level of accuracy in your work.
11. The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
12. A proactive approach to work, with the ability to anticipate problems before they occur.
