We are currently seeking an experienced and dynamic Lead Utilities Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and overseeing the utility systems within our facility. This includes boilers, gas, sewer, electric, and water systems. This is a permanent position, offering the successful candidate an opportunity to contribute to our success while advancing their career in a stimulating and fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all utility systems within the facility, including gas, sewer, electric, and water systems.
- Act as the Chief Boiler Engineer, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of all boilers and related equipment.
- Implement and manage the Preventative Maintenance System/ Risk Management Program (PMS/RMP), ensuring all utility systems are regularly inspected, maintained, and repaired as necessary.
- Maintain comprehensive regulatory records regarding all utility maintenance issues, ensuring we are compliant with all relevant laws and regulations.
- Document and read meters for all utility systems, monitoring usage and identifying any potential issues or inefficiencies.
- Work closely with other members of the engineering team, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Continuously seek ways to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of our utility systems, implementing changes as approved.
- Ensure all work is carried out in a safe and responsible manner, adhering to all company policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the engineering industry.
- MUST HAVE CHIEF B BOILER ENGINEER LICENSE
- Proven experience as a Chief Boiler Engineer, with a thorough understanding of boiler operation and maintenance.
- Experience implementing and managing a Preventative Maintenance System/ Risk Management Program (PMS/RMP).
- Demonstrated ability to document and read meters for gas, sewer, electric, and water systems.
- Experience maintaining regulatory records regarding utility maintenance issues.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve issues quickly and effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex issues in a clear and understandable way.
- A strong commitment to safety, with a proven track record of working in a safe and responsible manner.
- A degree in Engineering or a related field is preferred.
