We are seeking a dynamic and driven Manufacturing Engineer to join our fast-paced, innovative team within the finance industry. This role is perfect for a motivated individual who is looking to utilize their engineering skills in a unique, challenging, and rewarding environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the design, development, and improvement of manufacturing processes, utilizing their experience in machine design, process engineering, process improvement, CAD, and project management.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, test, and evaluate integrated systems for managing industrial production processes, including human work factors, quality control, inventory control, logistics and material flow, cost analysis, and production coordination.
- Make sure performance and product standards are met, and that implementation timelines are on track.
- Oversee the development and maintenance of manufacturing routes for maximizing space, efficiency, and effectiveness.
- Evaluate and improve on processes in manufacturing systems, utilizing your knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials.
- Develop innovative solutions to complex problems that impact the manufacture and delivery of high-quality financial products.
- Use CAD software to create 2D and 3D models of new systems and processes.
- Collaborate with design engineers to improve the manufacturability of new designs.
- Use project management skills to oversee projects from conception to completion, ensuring they are completed in a timely manner and within budget.
- Maintain an active role in the implementation of new processes and technology.
- Develop and implement process control techniques and procedures into manufacturing environments.
- Analyze manufacturing process flows continually for the enhancements of quality, cost reduction, and throughput.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, specifically in machine design, process engineering, process improvement, CAD, and project management.
- Proven experience in the finance industry is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a hands-on approach to problem-solving, with a bias towards going to see problems for oneself in the field.
- Excellent project management skills, with proven experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in CAD software, with the ability to design and understand complex 3D models.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to clearly and concisely communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical colleagues.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to use data to drive decision making.
- Self-motivated with a results-driven approach.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
- An innovative thinker, with a track record of identifying and implementing process improvements.
- A team player, with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues across different departments and levels of the organization.
