The successful candidate will be an integral part of our manufacturing team, responsible for all aspects of the design/drafting process for our projects.
This role involves designing industrial boiler and material handling related equipment, detailing drawings for designed equipment, procuring materials, and working closely with the fabrication shop until assigned projects are completed.

Mechanical Design/Engineer

This role involves designing industrial boiler and material handling related equipment, detailing drawings for designed equipment, procuring materials, and working closely with the fabrication shop until assigned projects are completed.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement mechanical design solutions for a wide range of industrial applications, including pressure parts, drag conveyors, screw conveyors, piping, structural steel, and platforms.
- Translate design criteria communicated by the design lead and/or engineer into detailed, functional designs.
- Create detailed drawings for designed equipment and procure necessary materials.
- Collaborate closely with the fabrication shop to ensure accurate and timely completion of assigned projects.
- Continually evaluate and refine design processes, methodologies, and tools to improve efficiency, accuracy, and overall product quality.
- Participate in cross-functional team meetings to review design progress, address challenges, and align on project objectives and timelines.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of proven experience in one or more of the following disciplines: mechanical design, piping design, structural/steel work, and/or electromechanical design gained in the design industry.
- A minimum of 4 years' experience as a user of the 2D and 3D CAD system (Autodesk Inventor preferred).
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and quality control procedures.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and build/maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
