Responsibilities:
1. Perform routine preventative maintenance checks and services on construction equipment to maintain the functionality and longevity of the equipment (tractors used for turf maintenance).
2. Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair malfunctions in the equipment including engine components, hydraulic systems, and other mechanical systems.
3. Travel to various job sites to perform on-site inspections, repairs, and maintenance tasks.
4. Provide technical support and advice to the construction team to ensure the proper usage and maintenance of equipment.
5. Document and maintain accurate records of all maintenance work performed, including the identification of potential future issues.
6. Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and guidelines during all maintenance operations.
7. Collaborate with the team to plan and schedule maintenance tasks efficiently and effectively.
8. Stay updated on the latest developments in construction equipment technology and maintenance methods.
Qualifications:
1. A minimum of 3 years of experience as a mechanic.
2. Experience with troubleshooting and repairing electrical, hydraulic and mechanical systems.
3. Proficient in diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical and technical issues.
4. Ability to travel to various job sites and perform on-site maintenance tasks.
5. Strong technical and mechanical skills.
6. Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
7. Good communication and interpersonal skills.
8. Certification or diploma in a related field is a plus.
9. A valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
10. Ability to work independently.
11. Strong commitment to adhering to safety protocols and regulations.
12. Ability to lift 70 pounds.
