Job Details
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related engineering field - Preferred but not required.
- Minimum 3 years of verifiable work experience in the Information Technology field as a field network engineer.
- Experience working in Renewable Energy Industry working with industrial control system networking and common communication protocols (OPC, DNP3, Modbus, etc.) preferred.
- At least one Certification in Cisco, Palo-Alto, CompTIA Network or other networking technologies.
- Experience working with various equipment including but not limited to; Cisco switches, Palo Alto firewalls, Dell PowerEdge Servers, Cradlepoint cellular modems, SFP modules, others.
- Demonstrate proficient knowledge of WAN, LAN and VPN networks, including the relationship between network infrastructure and IP enabled devices.
- Demonstrate proficient knowledge of TCP/IP switching and routing.
- Demonstrate knowledge of Ethernet cabling, single mode, and multimode fiber optic design standards and applications.
- Proficient knowledge of Authentication and Access Control.
- Proficient in the configuration and standup of VPN tunnels, VPN administration, and connectivity support.
- Basic knowledge of virtual and physical server architecture and networking.
- Knowledge of SCADA systems and their interaction with a network, including Microsoft Windows Server, Microsoft SQL Server, and SCADA Platforms and historization.
- Knowledge of the OSI model and applying it to systematic troubleshooting and problem resolution.
