Our fast-growing construction company is seeking a dynamic Paving Foreman to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our site work, paving, and excavation projects. The successful candidate will have an extensive background in the construction industry, with a particular focus on paving, milling, and earthwork. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader with the ability to oversee and guide our team, ensuring we deliver high-quality work on time and within budget. This role requires a proactive individual who can liaise with municipalities, states, and federal agencies to ensure all work is compliant with regulations.
Responsibilities:
1. Overseeing and directing paving operations on various construction sites.
2. Coordinating with project managers and other construction professionals to ensure the timely and cost-effective completion of projects.
3. Ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations and guidelines related to construction and paving work.
4. Utilizing Heavybid software to estimate costs and manage project budgets.
5. Directing and supervising the excavation, asphalt work, and earthwork activities.
6. Coordinating with municipalities, states, and federal agencies to secure necessary permits and approvals.
7. Managing and guiding the team to install base/paving/underground utilities according to project specifications.
8. Conducting regular site inspections to ensure safety standards and quality control measures are upheld.
9. Troubleshooting and resolving on-site issues related to paving and other construction activities.
Qualifications:
1. Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Foreman in the construction industry, with a focus on paving, milling, and earthwork.
2. Proficiency in using Heavybid or similar construction management software.
3. Extensive knowledge of construction regulations and safety guidelines.
4. Experience in managing and coordinating with municipalities, states, and federal agencies.
5. Strong leadership and team management skills.
6. Proven track record of completing projects on time and within budget.
7. Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
8. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
9. Ability to work in challenging conditions and adapt to changing project requirements.
10. Must have a valid driver's license and the ability to travel to various job sites.
