Job Details

Weekly payroll processing for 600 employees across multiple states.

Job responsibilities include:
  • Working within Kronos to prepare and process payroll accurately and efficiently. Maintaining payroll and post processing records.
  • Collaborate with labor coordinators regularly to ensure timesheets are processed and submitted accurately and timely to process into payroll.
  • Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices.
  • Completes Quarterly and Year End payroll tax filings, reconciliation, W2 and 1095 issuance.
  • Analyze and document current payroll policies and procedures and recommend best practices for efficiency and accuracy.
  • Ad hoc and custom reporting from payroll / HRIS system, i.e overtime reports, accruals, worker’s compensation wage reporting, census, safety reports, credential expirations, etc.
  • Facilitates audits by providing records, reporting and documentation to auditors as it relates to payroll, benefits and 401K.
  • Frequently and regularly auditing information within the payroll / HRIS system to ensure integrity of data entered by HR Partners. Create new cost centers and job codes within the system as needed.
  • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships at all levels of the organization and provide excellent customer service to employees, internal teams and external vendors.
  • Support and drive paperless and electronic initiatives as it relates to payroll and HR recordkeeping and processing.
  • Completing timely employment verifications.
  • Supports HR Manager with benefits and leave administration, to include new hire benefit enrollment, benefit changes, open enrollment, and interactions with employees, benefit vendors and insurance carriers as needed.
  • Keep current with trends and regulations as they relate to the payroll functions.
  • Provides general administrative support, including maintaining personnel files, generating mail merges, preparation of mailings, answering phones, typing, etc.

Requirements:
  • Associate Degree in Accounting or related field
  • Minimum of 4 years previous experience processing multi-state payroll with timekeeping and payroll applications
  • Proficient with payroll software and the ability to quickly learn new payroll software. Experience with Kronos Workforce Ready is a HUGE plus.
  • Knowledge of federal and state wage and tax laws, labor laws, and FLSA requirements.
  • High level of interpersonal soft skills to handle sensitive confidential situations and documentation.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Proficient with general computer applications Office and Google for Business
  • Bilingual (English / Spanish) a plus
