Position Overview:
As a Process Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and optimizing manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, quality, and safety. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify areas for improvement, develop innovative solutions, and ensure the successful execution of projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Process Design and Optimization: Develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing processes by analyzing data, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing solutions to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
Continuous Improvement: Lead or participate in continuous improvement initiatives, such as Lean Six Sigma projects, to drive process excellence throughout the organization.
Technical Support: Provide technical expertise to production teams, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions to ensure smooth operations and maintain product quality.
Quality Assurance: Collaborate with Quality Control and Quality Assurance teams to establish and maintain product quality standards, specifications, and documentation.
Cost Management: Monitor and control process-related costs, including raw materials, energy consumption, and labor, to maximize profitability.
Safety and Compliance: Ensure that all processes adhere to safety regulations, environmental standards, and industry compliance requirements.
Project Management: Manage process improvement projects from concept to completion, including defining objectives, creating project plans, and coordinating resources.
Data Analysis: Utilize statistical analysis and data-driven approaches to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and make data-based decisions.
Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date process documentation, including process flow diagrams, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and equipment specifications.
Training and Development: Train operators and production staff on new processes and technologies, ensuring a smooth transition and optimal performance.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
Proven experience in process engineering or a related role in a manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of process optimization methodologies, such as Six Sigma, Lean, or TPM.
Proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., Excel, statistical software).
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations and compliance standards.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Project management experience is a plus.
Ability to adapt to changing priorities and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
