Responsibilities

As a Project Accountant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the financial success of our construction projects. Your responsibilities will include

• Managing and overseeing all financial aspects of assigned projects, including budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and financial reporting.
• Collaborating with project managers and other stakeholders to develop project budgets and financial plans.
• Tracking project costs and comparing them with budgets to identify variances and potential issues.
• Preparing timely and accurate financial reports and presenting them to project stakeholders and senior management.
• Ensuring compliance with all applicable financial regulations and standards.
• Assisting in the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures to improve project financial management and control.
• Participating in project meetings and providing financial insights and advice.
• Working closely with the finance team to ensure seamless integration of project accounting with general accounting.
  
  

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to have

• A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in project accounting, preferably in the construction or similar industry.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, financial reporting standards, and cost accounting.
• Proficiency in using accounting software and advanced Excel skills.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly explain complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
• A high level of integrity, with the ability to handle sensitive financial information confidentially.
• The ability to work well under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• A strong interest in science and technology, with the desire to keep up-to-date with the latest developments in the field.
