We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Accountant to join our high-performing finance team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in maintaining the financial health and success of our organization.
Responsibilities:
1. Assist with internal and external audits: The Senior Accountant will work closely with auditors to ensure that all financial operations are transparent and in compliance with regulatory standards. This involves preparing necessary documentation, providing auditors with access to financial records, and addressing any concerns or discrepancies that may arise during the audit process.
2. Maintain internal controls: The Senior Accountant will be responsible for ensuring that internal controls are in place and effective. This includes regularly reviewing and updating control procedures, as well as identifying and addressing any potential weaknesses or risks.
3. Prepare audit schedules: The Senior Accountant will be responsible for preparing detailed audit schedules to support the audit process. This includes ensuring that all financial transactions are accurately recorded and classified, and that all supporting documentation is complete and organized.
4. Prepare and track monthly action plan: The Senior Accountant will be responsible for preparing a monthly action plan to guide the department's activities and priorities. This includes setting goals, assigning tasks, monitoring progress, and making necessary adjustments to keep the department on track.
5. Other duties: The Senior Accountant will also be expected to perform other related duties as assigned, which may include, but are not limited to, financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. An advanced degree or professional certification (such as CPA) is highly desirable.
2. A minimum of 3 years of experience in an accounting role, with a focus on audit and internal controls.
