Job Details
We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior Accountant to join our team in the Medical Industry. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for managing the financial operations of our company and ensuring that all accounting processes are in compliance with GAAP accounting standards. You will also be a part of implementing and maintaining our new ERP system and ensuring the accuracy of our financial data. If you are a seasoned professional with a passion for accounting and a desire to work in the medical industry, we want to hear from you!
Responsibilities:
- Manage the month-end close process and ensure all financial statements are accurate and in compliance with GAAP accounting standards
- Oversee the general ledger and ensure all accounts are reconciled and up-to-date
- Implement and maintain our ERP system, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial data
- Perform cost accounting analysis and provide recommendations for cost-saving measures
- Work closely with the sales and order systems teams to ensure accurate recording of revenue and expenses
- Create and maintain the Chart of Accounts and ensure all accounts are properly classified
- Develop and maintain complex Excel formulas and pivot tables to analyze financial data
- Provide guidance and support to junior accounting staff
- Assist with the preparation of the annual budget and monthly forecasts
- Prepare and file all necessary tax returns and ensure compliance with all tax laws and regulations
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- 3 years of experience as a accounting professional
- Strong knowledge of GAAP accounting standards and month-end close processes
- Experience with ERP system implementation and maintenance
- Proficiency in Quickbooks and Microsoft Suite, including Excel pivot tables and complex formulas
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of sales and order systems preferred
