We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our dynamic team in the manufacturing industry. This is a permanent position that offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for a variety of financial activities including general ledger management, financial analysis, accounts payable and receivable, and cost accounting. This role is critical in ensuring the accuracy, timeliness, and integrity of our financial data.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular GL cleanup activities to ensure accuracy and consistency of financial data.
• Conduct detailed financial analysis to provide insights and support business decisions.
• Prepare and record complex journal entries for monthly and annual closing.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely and accurate processing of transactions.
• Conduct cost accounting activities including inventory valuation and cost of goods sold computations.
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures, and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.
• Maintain the general ledger system, ensuring accurate and timely recording of transactions.
• Participate in forecasting activities, including budget preparation and financial planning.
• Liaise with internal and external auditors, providing necessary information and answering queries.
• Collaborate with other team members to improve financial processes and systems.
• Stay updated with industry trends and current accounting standards.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
• Proficient in GL clean up, financial analysis, journal entries, AP, AR, cost accounting, and forecasting.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and internal controls.
• Experience with general ledger functions and month-end/year-end close process.
• Excellent analytical skills with an attention to detail.
• Strong computer skills, particularly with accounting software and MS Excel.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification is a plus.
