We are seeking a Senior Accounting Manager to join our dynamic team. This role provides a unique opportunity to take on senior responsibilities within our Finance Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the full life-cycle accounting processes, including GAAP, auditing, and providing accounting leadership. The Senior Accounting Manager will play a pivotal role in maintaining the financial health and success of our company. This position requires a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.

Job Details

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes.
• Guide financial decisions by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing policies and procedures.
• Protect assets by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing internal controls.
• Monitor and confirm financial condition by conducting audits and providing information to external auditors.
• Maximize return and limit risk on cash by minimizing bank balances and making investments.
• Comply with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, anticipating future legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, filing financial reports, and advising management on needed actions.
• Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
• Develop and manage financial systems and policies.
• Engage in the ongoing development of staff within the department.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field. Master's degree or CPA is highly desirable.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting leadership roles.
• Proven working experience as Accounting Manager, Accounting Supervisor or Finance Manager.
• Ability to manipulate large amounts of data.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to direct and supervise.
• Solid knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and regulations.
• Excellent knowledge of auditing practices and principles.
• Strong computer skills, MS Excel in particular (managing spreadsheets, creating charts and using advanced formulas).
• Excellent organizational, problem-solving, project management and communication skills.
• Additional experience in Audit and International accounting is a plus.
