Job Details

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Corporate Accountant to join our team in the Environmental industry. This person will work closely with the Director of Accountant. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the month-end journal entries, account reconciliation, bank reconciliation, and other financial records. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of GAAP and be able to prepare monthly financial reports accurately and efficiently.

Responsibilities:

• Approve month-end journal entries and ensure accuracy of all financial records
• Reconcile all accounts, including bank accounts, on a monthly basis
• Prepare monthly financial reports and provide analysis to senior management
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies
• Manage the Accounts Payable process and ensure timely payments
• Maintain the Accrual General Ledger and ensure all expenses are recorded accurately
• Oversee the General Ledger and ensure all accounts are reconciled and up-to-date
• Assist with the preparation of the annual budget and quarterly forecasts
• Work with external auditors to provide necessary documentation and support

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 3 years of experience in a corporate accounting role
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting
• Experience with month-end journal entries and account reconciliation
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Detail-oriented and highly organized
• CPA certification preferred but not required
