We are seeking a seasoned and dynamic Senior Electrical Estimator to join our team in the Construction industry. This is a permanent position that offers an exciting opportunity to be involved in a wide range of construction projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing detailed estimates, coordinating with contractors, and ensuring safety protocols are followed. This role requires a deep understanding of electrical systems, construction processes, and estimating techniques. Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed electrical estimates for construction projects, including material and labor costs.
- Use software such as Timberline and OST/On-Screen Takeoff for accurate take-offs and bids.
- Collaborate with the project team, subcontractors, and suppliers to gather necessary information and ensure all costs are accounted for.
- Analyze project documents, blueprints, and specifications to determine the scope of work and required contents of the estimate.
- Participate in the bidding process, including preparing bid packages, conducting bid reviews, and submitting bids.
- Manage and maintain relationships with subcontractors, ensuring their work is accurately reflected in estimates.
- Follow and enforce safety protocols in all aspects of work.
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends, new products, and the latest technology in electrical construction.
- Provide technical support to project teams throughout the construction process.
- Regularly report to management on project status, potential risks, and cost overruns.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience as an Electrical Estimator in the Construction industry.
- Proficiency in estimating software such as Timberline, OST/On-Screen Takeoff.
- Thorough understanding of electrical systems, construction processes, and estimating techniques.
- Experience with MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) systems is a plus.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction documents.
- Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and quality.
- Knowledge of construction safety protocols and regulations.
- Ability to work well in a team and manage relationships with subcontractors and suppliers.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field is preferred.
