We provide design, engineering and consulting services for the Building Envelope and Curtain Wall Industries to clients throughout the United States and in some off-shore markets.

Job Details

Duties and Contexts:
Provide technical support to BEE and BEC divisions (primarily BEE)
Work as technical specialist on structural engineering projects for building envelope,
building enclosure, architectural components and secondary structures, or similar
Work with minimal supervision
Understand high level mathematics
Structural principles should be clearly understood; know how to apply structural
engineering principles to problems
Understand complex structural calculations and procedures
Think creatively, applying structural design concepts to routine and complex problems
As an experienced structural engineer and supervisor, may be asked to lead team of
engineers on projects
Develop structural calculation reports for submission and record
Review shop drawings
Attend departmental meetings
Participate in engineering committees where assigned or applicable
Support, do, or manage, scope and pricing for proposals and change orders
Attend kickoff meetings, project meetings, and post project review meetings
As a staff specialist, may be given complex, new or individual problems to be solved
As a consultant, may support BEC division on special projects, write reports, perform
forensic and due diligence investigating
Understand and utilize structural engineering software
Participate in training and mentoring junior and less experienced engineers
Maintain knowledge of building codes and stay current
Work with AAMA, AA, AISC, ACI, ASCE, AWS, AISI, and related technical standards
Provide PE review and QC of work products for EOR to PE Seal
PE Review and seal work products in states of licensure where and when applicable
Obtain and support NCEES Record for securing multiple PE's
All other tasks as assigned or as apparent
