The Project Manger must be able to successfully coordinate a project team of professionals within the office as well as outside consultants and project vendors. Description
The Project Manager is a responsible for the complete delivery process of a project from inception to finish. The Project Manger must be able to successfully coordinate a project team of professionals within the office as well as outside consultants and project vendors. This position assumes the candidate has all the attributes and skill set of a Senior Designer in addition to the following:
Responsibilities and Duties
- Manage client contact and expectations.
- Coordinate all team members both internal and external.
- Budget project hours, project fees and monitor adherence to allotted hours.
- Ensure projects stay on schedule.
- Ability to analyze bids and advise clients.
- Clearly communicate with clients so that they understand the construction documents and finishes.
- Ability to understand, coordinate and review MEP documents.
- Skills and knowledge to direct projects of all sizes (2,000 s.f. to 100,000 s.f. plus)
- Attend construction site meetings, write reports and respond to RFI’s.
- Conduct punch list walk-throughs and issue project close-out documents.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Interior Design or Architecture.
- 6 years or more experience in a commercial design firm.
- Enough AutoCAD skills to complete drawings or make revisions when a Designer is not available.
- Professional accreditation (AIA, IIDA, NCARB, LEED, etc.).
