Job Details
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Project Manager to join our team and take the lead in managing complex construction projects. This is a permanent, full-time position that offers the opportunity to work on a variety of high-profile projects. As a Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of project management, from initial planning to final completion, ensuring that all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
Responsibilities
- Leading and managing the planning and execution of construction projects, including defining project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business goals.
- Developing full-scale project plans and associated communication documents.
- Effectively communicating project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.
- Estimating the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals.
- Drafting and submitting budget proposals, recommending subsequent budget changes when necessary.
- Determining and assessing the need for additional staff and/or consultants and making the appropriate recruitments if necessary during the project cycle.
- Identifying and managing project dependencies and critical path.
- Planning and scheduling project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools.
- Tracking project milestones and deliverables.
- Conducting project post mortems and creating a recommendations report in order to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.
- Developing best practices and tools for project execution and management.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Senior Project Manager in the construction industry.
- Proven success in providing on-site management and strong leadership to construction teams.
- Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, direct, perform, review, and present project management assignments independently, with speed and accuracy.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- Proficient in using project management software and other standard office software.
- Strong knowledge of building processes and experience managing construction contracts.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- PMP or equivalent certification would be considered an asset.
- Ability to travel as needed.
